Vania Miteva, Reg. Psych

I am an accredited EMDR Trainer (EMDR Association Australia; EMDR Association NZ) and Consultant (EMDR Association Australia; EMDR International Association). I am a registered Consultant Psychologist with 18 years experience, and over 15,000 face-to-face hours. Over these years I have filled clinical, leadership, facilitating, consultancy, and community roles.

I have worked with people who struggled with a range of difficulties and ways of responding to life’s challenges. Clinically I have worked in primary mental health, adult community teams, and in an inpatient unit with people who were acutely troubled and distressed. I have also worked with Maori mental health services and Alcohol and other drugs services.

  • In my leadership roles I have experience in governance as a past President and current Board member of EMDR Association of Australia, alongside quality improvement initiatives for suppliers of psychological services in New Zealand.

    I also have extensive experience in workshop development and facilitation covering psychology and complex mental health, alongside workplace wellbeing, provided in English and Bulgarian languages.

    In my work, I draw predominantly from CBT and EMDR, alongside other therapeutic models such as Solution-focused, ACT and DBT. I am committed to continuing professional development, training, and supervision to ensure I offer you the best service.
